Hey my Secondary Four Dancers.
This post is dedicated to all of you.
I was wondering if anybody still comes here.
But anyway, for those that still visit.
All i want to say to you guys are that, all of you have taken back your report books and report slips and all that.
For those that are doing real well, keep it up! and do well for O levels.
For those that aren't performing to expectations, I am sure everyone did well, just maybe some didn't perform to expectation. Maybe take some time to reflect and strive even harder to do well for O levels. Don't be disheartened that you are getting a double digit now. People have gotten 20 for prelims and secured a 7 for O levels. That is an incredibly big jump that I am sure everyone ( I mean only my Secondary Four Dancers) can do it!
:D so yes.
Have faith like I always have in you guys and all my fellow dancers.
Believe that with sheer determination and hardwork, you guys can.
You guys have always been able to impress and do well.
You guys can do it. (:
Don't worry too much okay my fellow Secondary Four Dancers.
This is not the last lap.
It is the last bend.
You don't know what lies behind the bend.
You cannot see it. But you know when you push yourself to run faster, you will reach it.
You will reach your goal and soar with the wings of an eagle. (:
Don't settle for your 2nd choice, settle for the best.
Aim high so you won't fall low.

I can no longer stand infront of everyone to talk like I used to.
I can no longer try to motivate you guys like I always to.
But I want to do something for you guys, during this last bend where we chiong together.
Here is a story for everyone.

Refusing To Accept Failure

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest.
On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then known to man-29,000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his efforts.
He even made American Express card commercials because of it!
However, until we read his book, High Adventure, we don't understand that Hillary had to grow into this success.
You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest, but failed.
A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members.
Hillary walked on stage to a thunderous applause.
The audience was recognizing an ATTEMPT at greatness, but Edmund Hillary saw himself as a failure.
He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain.
He said in a loud voice, 'Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I'll beat you the next time because you've grown all you are going to grow... but I'm still growing!'

This showed Edmund Hillary sheer determination.
Look, you guys can do it too.
You guys are gonna work hard and achieve what you want because you are still working hard.
The paper has been set. It has stop working, stop growing, stop becoming harder.
But you guys can change your destiny by JIA YOU-ING and doing your best! :D

dear all dancers,

heres the details of whats going to happen on friday . it will be a combine with nanhua

venue: 991 bukit timah road, maplewoods condominium. the function hall and pavillion.
this place is near king albert park( big macdonalds , or near bukit timah plaza).
daoxin will fetch one batch of people from king albert park, and another 2 people will be fetching batch from clementi mrt station .

please continuously check this blog for more updates. and the buses to go there will be release later on.

time: 6pm- 930pm.
events: there will be games, lucky draws , mini performances.:) and the food will be catering . so remember to pass the 10 dollars to your level representatives. by thursday .

dress code: fortunately , there will be a dress code. for those that come from school and cant change in time, please try to bring extra shirt to change.
heres the dress code.

january - march babies= white top
april to june babies= black
july to september babies= pink
october to december babies= blue.

this dresscode is applicable for your top only. so for the bottom, wear whatever u want

its highly recommended to bring a pen or permanent marker.
if any of you wants to make a dedication to your senior or your juniors, love ones or to nanhua dancers, please use this chance to do so. even confession is allowed. :p

dont worry no wet games involved. just bring a happy you along!:)

people like those who are joining ndp, can eat first or leave early. the rest, please dont leave so early.

and this is highly recommended to come. even if you are not involved in ayg. do come.

lastly, i want to thank the level reps who are using up so much of their sms to help me pass the message down .love you all!

Hey.
Can't believe it's all over.
But I've got to say it's been one hell-of-a ride.
These 4 years have been so awesome and completely mind-blowing that I think it will stick with me for a long long time. We've disagreed, we've fought, we've cried, we've laughed and we've been through it all.
Now that it's over, our last last fight together is our O levels. I wish everyone good luck for that.
After these four years, I've become close friends with so many of you guys.
And when I say I love you, I mean it.
Although I really wish it would never end, it's painfully obvious that's not going to happen.
Nanhuadancesociety will forever be a part of me and I think many of you concur.

I MUST praise the Secondary Four Girls for their AWESOME DANCE put up today.
It is really a breath taking and awe-inspiring dance.
I was sitting directly in front and I was practically STUNNED by the dance.
It left everyone stunned at the end cos it is fast paced and really full of BAO FA LI.
So Once Again, WELL DONE SEC FOUR GIRLS.
YOU GUYS HAVE DANCE PROUD ONCE AGAIN. :D
I hope you guys felt better after listening to what I wrote.
I am sorry for not being able to be with you guys just before the performance.
But yeah, I am really touched by the effort and zest you girls put in for the dance.

As for the boys, Thank you Sec Four Boys for this wonderful last lion dance performance.
I am really touched because it is the time we spent together, doing everything and making things right and helping one another. (:
the performance all in all was a great one though short it may be.
You guys have done a great job, from standby to the performance.
I am really impressed by how you guys do stuffs.

Hello Guys And Girls.
It has been a long time since I posted here.

I'm sorry if you guys think that the price is too steep, it's somewhat more expensive as there's a picture and it's colourful.
& the EXTRA $0.50 is the tee that we are ordering for laoshi. $21/37 of us so is $0.50 for each person.

We have currently 36 in dance, and plus Zhiyong who is overseas and we're buying laoshi one so is 38 altogether.

Sizes: S/M/L/XL
We'll need a short meeting after dance to settle the sizes for EVERYBODY. Samples will be shown so please pick your size!

I hope that nothing will go wrong and we can get our batch tee soon:D Earliest is by CNY and I'll try to make it as early as possible, no promise though. Please understand that the design is hard to make and the uncle is making an exception for us as nanhua always patronise them, so we need to give him some time.

the programmes ran pretty smoothly and everything was well.

without you guys, the practice won't be successful today.

As for year 2009 which is coming in just a day.
I would just share something that I thought of in the bus on the way home.
2008 have been a year of ups and downs for our society.
we went through alot together as a BATCH, or as a whole dance society.
as friends, as brothers, as sisters, as pillars of supports for one another.
friendship, brotherhood, sisterhood - these familiar words ring repeatedly in us.
and soon it will be a new year for all of us.
and since 2008 is ending in a day, i am starting to feel nostalgic about the times we had.
2 major performances, SYF opening and National Day Parade 2008.
The times we had, we spent together during the various performances.
think about it and we will really feel a sense of nostalgia creeping into us.
that kind of feeling of wanting to go back to the good times, to the fun times.
no matter, what conflicts or dispute we have, we solve it somehow and in the end,
we are still okay.

yeah, with this, i hope that 2009 will be a better year for all of us, both individually and as a batch and as a society.
and we will continue to work together as a batch to do our best and help NHDS, because it is part of us, now and always will.
and i wish that all of you guys, success ahead and study hard, we will make it together. (:

the things i wanna say is that about today.
TODAY.
got happy things and unhappy things.
but my personal view is that I AM VERY TOUCHED by EVERYONE (THE SEC 3s) and the sec 2s who went down to see TIAN JUN.
I dont know why I feel so touched though i am not tian jun.
but it is just the feeling and the care and concern of everyone towards our fellow dancer, SEC 3 BOYS' BROTHER.

guys, we have to do something about Dance now.
Nan Hua Dance Society is ours.
it is up to us to do it good.
i mean there's no point for me to keep on saying but not doing anything right?
our greatest flaw is that we always do things halfway.
and we dont carry it through.
so what i suggest is that okay, since we have been trying pretty hard to get the standard back the past few times but failed. but we did tried right?
trying is great enough.
at least we attempted.
so come on, lets not give up.
there is always still an alternative way.
we are going to do something this cultural potpourri to bring back the discipline and spirit, and if it fails again.
we will just try over and over again.
till dance gets better.
it's no easy road i must say.
but why not just try it out and see how it works.
okay?

guys i really need the support of everybody.

I am here to give a brief conclusion about the exco meeting we had today,
so that the rest of the sec threes are also updated about what we discussed.
Today the agenda were met.
We have come to a conclusion that we will go for Dance on 13th November 2008.
Reason being that, we cannot afford to delay for another day, as 14th November is the rehearsel,not a dance practice.

On 13th Of November, the problems that we might encountered during cultural potpourri will be addressed.

We discussed about ORD also.
Details will be given to you all.
